Tips for Using an Electric Fabric Cutting Machine

2026 01/12

Mastering proper operating techniques is key to improving both the efficiency and safety of an electric fabric cutting machine. Before operation, always ensure that the blade is sharp and securely installed, and that the worktable is clean and free of debris, so as to avoid cutting deviation or blade damage caused by foreign objects. For different fabric materials—such as heavy canvas or lightweight silk—pre-test and adjust the appropriate cutting speed and pressure settings in advance to prevent fabric distortion due to pulling or edge scorching.

During operation, keep both hands within safe areas and use a straightedge, fabric guide, or dedicated clamps to stabilize the fabric, ensuring straight and smooth cutting lines. For continuous cutting tasks, planning the cutting sequence in advance can effectively reduce idle movements, improve work efficiency, and provide an implicit energy-saving benefit. After cutting is completed, promptly clean fabric scraps from the work surface, return the machine to its proper position, and disconnect the power supply to develop good operating habits.
