Presser Foot Precision Adjustment Guide

2025 06/14

Presser foot adjustment is a critical step in jacquard sewing machine operation, directly affecting stitch uniformity and fabric alignment. Before adjusting, ensure the presser foot type matches the thickness of the jacquard fabric being sewn. For lightweight jacquard fabrics, a transparent plastic presser foot is recommended to allow better visibility of the stitching path; for thicker or three-dimensional jacquard materials, switch to a metal roller presser foot to enhance stability.

Use the pressure adjustment knob located on the right side of the machine body to control presser foot pressure—turning it clockwise increases pressure, suitable for elastic or high-density jacquard fabrics; turning it counterclockwise reduces pressure, preventing impressions on delicate materials such as silk.

After the initial adjustment, it is advisable to perform a stitch test using fabric scraps to observe the interaction between the upper and lower threads. If loose stitching or fabric puckering occurs, fine-tune the pressure to achieve a balance between upper and lower thread tension.
