How to Replace the Blade of a Circular Cutting Machine

2025 03/10

Replacing the circular blade of a cutting machine usually involves the following steps:
1.Turn off the power to ensure safety
· Before replacing the blade, be sure to turn off the machine and unplug it to prevent accidental startup.
2.Remove the fixing device

· Use a specialized wrench or screwdriver to remove the screws or clamps securing the blade.

· Some models may have a protective cover that needs to be removed first.

3.Remove the old blade

· Wear protective gloves to avoid cuts.

· Gently rotate or slide out the old blade, being careful not to damage the blade holder.

4.Clean the blade holder

· Use a clean cloth or brush to remove dust, debris, and residues from the blade holder.

· If necessary, apply a small amount of lubricant to clean the bearing area.

5.Install the new blade

· Ensure the new blade is positioned correctly (some blades have installation direction indicators).

· Securely place the blade into the holder and adjust it to the correct position.

· Tighten the fixing screws or clamps to prevent the blade from loosening.

6.Check the installation

· Manually rotate the blade to check if it moves smoothly without obstruction.

· Ensure the blade is balanced and does not wobble or tilt.

7.Reinstall the protective cover (if applicable)

· Make sure all removed parts are correctly reinstalled.

8.Test run

· Start the machine at a low speed and observe if the blade operates normally, without unusual noises or vibrations.

· Perform a test cut on a small piece of material to confirm the cutting performance.

If the blade is unbalanced, cuts unevenly, or produces abnormal sounds, stop the machine immediately for inspection. If you are unsure about the procedure, refer to the machine’s manual or contact the manufacturer’s technical support.
